GUARDIAN NAMES SCOTT THOMSEN GROUP VICE PRESIDENT, NORTH AMERICAN FLAT GLASS

Auburn Hills, Mich., (February 19, 2010) – Guardian Industries has named Scott Thomsen Group Vice President for North American Flat Glass operations, a new position at the company. Thomsen will oversee all aspects of flat glass including facilities, fabrication, marketing, sales, financial, business development and services. Additionally, he will continue to oversee Guardian’s Science & Technology Center in Carleton, Mich., the company’s research and development activity.

GUARDIAN GLASS COVERS THE BURJ KHALIFA, THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD

Auburn Hills, Mich., (Jan. 12, 2010) – The new year marked the official opening of the Burj Khalifa (formerly Burj Dubai) in the United Arab Emirates – the world’s tallest building at 800 meters or 2,650 feet high. The building features more than 1.8 million square feet (174,000 square meters) of Guardian SunGuard Solar Silver 20 and Guardian ClimaGuard NLT Low-E. A new adjacent residential project features Guardian glass as well.
