Guardian DiamondGuard is Interiors & Sources Magazine’s Readers’ Choice

Auburn Hills, Mich. – December 15, 2011 – Guardian Industries continues to add to this year’s honors, with the announcement that its DiamondGuard high endurance glass is the 2011 Interiors & Sources Magazine Readers’ Choice among glass elements.

Part of the Guardian InGlass portfolio of products, Guardian DiamondGuard has a permanent protective coating that resists scratching and looks like new 10 times longer than ordinary glass.

“Our readers are professional designers and architects specifying the wide variety of products featured in our pages, which makes their opinions so essential,” says Robert Nieminen, editor of Interiors & Sources. “We are pleased to announce that Guardian’s DiamondGuard glass was selected by our readership as the best glass element of the year.

“Guardian’s reputation for quality, coupled with DiamondGuard’s high durability, made it an easy choice for over 80 percent of readers who voted in the glass elements category.”

Guardian's DiamondGuard is perfect for interior applications such as doors, wall panels, partitions, store fixtures, display cases, tabletops, cabinets, shelving, furniture and mirrors.

““DiamondGuard stands up to everyday contact with items such as keys, jewelry, silverware, briefcases and handbags. Its performance in the real world redefines the possibilities for glass,” said Diane Turnwall, market segment director, Interiors for Guardian Industries. “Designers and architects -- like Interiors & Sources’ readers -- have helped grow DiamondGuard’s reputation throughout the industry, and made it the premier Guardian InGlass product. We appreciate the readers’ votes and are grateful for this honor.”

The award helps Guardian celebrate an exciting year for its growing interior glass segment that included the launch of Guardian InGlass, an extensive website and sample system bringing all of Guardian’s interior products under a single portfolio; and Berman Glass editions, four textures created by renowned glass artist Joel Berman exclusively manufactured and distributed by Guardian.

Nominees for the third annual Interiors & Sources Readers’ Choice Awards were selected by editors from products featured this year in the magazine and its e-newsletters, and promoted through the website and social media channels. DiamondGuard received 89 percent of the vote in the glass elements category.
