Guardian Spain Transitions to Guardian ExtraClear® Float Glass

Bertrange, Luxembourg, July 7, 2016 – In response to continuing industry trends for higher transparency and neutral glass, Guardian has transitioned production of all Guardian® clear float and fabricated glass produced at its plants in Llodio and Tudela, Spain, to Guardian ExtraClear® float glass.

Guardian ExtraClear glass offers higher light transmission and a more natural and neutral colour in a wide range of applications. It can be fabricated, laminated, painted, cut and tempered just like ordinary float glass, and to achieve specialised performance, it can be used in combination with other Guardian high-performance, coated glass products.
